Flying Start Central - Children's Centre

Welcome to Flying Start Central, delivering children’s centre services at Beech Hill, a one-stop shop for information and support.

What are Children’s Centres?

Children’s Centres provide a one-stop shop for information, advice and support for families with children under 5. Families benefit from a range of flexible services and support when they need it. Flying Start Central aims to support you in the everyday challenges of parenthood. At all venues you can expect a warm and friendly welcome. All our staff are on hand to help make Flying Start Central a very special place.

At the core of our centre is the aim of ensuring children are given the best possible start in life. Our venues have an open door and staff are ready, willing and able to help with a wide range of circumstances, offering encouragement and support for all concerned.

The centre works with the local community to offer support to those who need it. With your help, we constantly develop what we do and how we work, to improve outcomes for children and families and meet ever changing needs.

Did you know we are open Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm, 51 weeks a year?

Parents’ Forum – Family Voices Group

Flying Start Central needs your help on our Parents’ Forum, a place for your views and ideas to be heard, to help with the overall development of the Children’s Centre. The Parents’ Forum is the voice of parents in the community, helping staff to develop the services for families with under-fives that are really needed. We would love to hear your ideas for activities that might run during school holidays or suggestions for ways that we can improve the services offered.
