Eid Fair

Congratulations to Nishat in Rowan class for creating the winning poster.

We are hosting an Eid Fair on Thursday 6th July and we would like children in Y5 and Y6 to enter a competition to design the Eid Fair Poster. The poster needs to be a ‘proper’ piece of art not just Eid fair written on a page – there are some budding artists out there that could easily rise to this challenge.

The poster needs to include:

  • Eid Fair
  • Thursday 6th July 2017
  • 14.00 to 16.00
  • Beech Hill Primary School

The poster must be on A4 paper and should be vibrant, colourful and show that we will be having lots of fun. At the Fair there will be lots of stalls to enjoy and great food to eat. It would be good if the poster had a real Asian influence in the design. Mendi designs would be fab. Children need to bear in mind that it will be copied and scanned so although 3D looks great it will not convert very well.

Children can do this over the half term holidays if they wish. The closing date is Friday 9th June at 12 noon.

The winning entry will not only be used to advertise the fair but the artist will win a prize and will be able to open the Eid Fair with the ‘celebrity’ we get to cut the ribbon.

Good luck children, we look forward to seeing your fabulous creations.

Children let’s get creative!

On our website we have a class page and currently each class is represented by a picture of a tree. We would like you to design a picture that represents your class to replace the tree. There will be one winner from each class with a reward for those winners and the winning entry will be put on our website. Closing date is Friday 26th May. Pictures need to be original, creative, colourful and imaginative reflecting your class and the fantastic things you do.

Please ask your class teacher for more details.

Congratulations to the following children for achieving 100% attendance during the weeks 9th to 20th January.  There were 643 children in total and two sticker book prizes were given to each year group.  These were selected by picking names out of a hat.  The children who received the sticker books are:
